The grounds were extensive, offering ample space for walks, i liked the dog-friendly atmosphere. The staff was attentive. They were very helpful with directions and requests. I enjoyed the convenient access to the bar and bistro. I found them both very well-stocked.
The hot tub WAS under maintenance , which slightly limited the spa experience.

The pool was large, it had designated times for families with children. The gym had a variety of equipment. I noted three treadmills. The spa offered a wide range of treatments.

The hotel grounds are expansive with scenic walking trails for hiking. I found one leading to nearby woodlands. Hadrian's Wall is easily accessible. The setting is peaceful, it provides a quiet retreat.

the classic family room had ample space. a complimentary bar was an unexpected TREASURE. Underfloor heating in the bathroom proved very comfortable.
